The Minnesota Twins took two out of three games against the Oakland Athletics during their mid week series. The Twins finished up the series with a 3-1 victory on Wednesday afternoon as they scored single runs in the first, third, and sixth innings off of Dallas Braden.

Mike Redmond led the Twins at the plate as he had rbi singles in the third and sixth innings to finish the game with two rbi. The other rbi for the Twins came off the bat of Justin Morneau who singled in the Twins first run in the first inning.

Francisco Liriano notched his fourth win of the season and is now 4-3. Liriano tossed five innings and gave up five hits and one run while walking three and strikingout five others. Boof Bonser, Jesse Crain, and Joe Nathan all did a good job out of the bullpen. Nathan recorded his 34th save of the season.
