Yangervis Solarte received some playing time and he took advantage with 3 hits and 2 RBI. In 4 AB’s Solarte rsised his average to .323 getting his 31st AB with the Miracle. Deolis Guerra, a young fireballer acquired for Johan Santana, went 6 strong innings, giving up 4 hits, 1 earned run, although he walked 5. On another note, a franchise high 6 Miracle players were named to the FSL West all star team. Those players: Second baseman Brian Dinkelman, third baseman Danny Valencia, outfielder Rene Tosoni, starting pitcher Jeff Manship and relief pitchers Anthony Slama and Robert Delaney.
