Minnesota Twins catcher Joe Mauer has been diagnosed with a mild form of pneumonia, and, as a result, his frustrating season is over, the Minneapolis Star-Tribune reported Friday. Mauer had developed an upper respiratory infection in Los Angeles a few weeks ago.
