Minnesota Twins center fielder Denard Span has tied a modern era record with three triples against the Detroit Tigers. Span led off the first inning with a triple, then had a two-run triple in the fourth and a bases-loaded triple in the fifth inning that gave Minnesota a 10-3 lead.
